Hi there! I’m Ella, and I’m so excited to share a bit about myself. I grew up in South San Francisco, and went to El Camino high school. I went to college in Santa Cruz and lived right next to the boardwalk. During my time in college I studied Biotechnology and Italian Studies and was so fortunate to study abroad in Florence whilst continuing my Italian Studies.

After graduating, I moved to a small town called Sandane in Norway to study something I’ve never learned about in school. I am just finishing up at a year of Folkehøgskule, an outdoor education, adventure based school where my classroom stretches across fjords, mountains, and glaciers. We do a lot here, and everyday looks different but some of my favorite things to do is ski, trad climb, and surf.

When I’m not outside, I enjoy cozy nights at home crocheting, cooking, and watching soccer. There’s something so satisfying about creating something with my hands whether it’s a sweater or dinner with my roommate.

I am very excited to return back to California where its much warmer and sunnier than Norway. I can’t wait to see my parents, sister, and dog, Nik, in Millbrae and spend time with my college friends in Santa Cruz. I am so lucky because the people in my support system are always so supportive of my various adventures. 

My life is an exciting mix of academics, outdoor exploration, and creative hobbies right now, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy to my tutoring sessions.
